LET’S GET LIFTED ~ 9/11/09

Well friends, we are back and we have a movie — almost! I still have a few things to shoot followed by the adventure of post production.

It wasn’t easy that’s for sure, but great things never are, so however hard it was, it was worth every minute.

URIAH SHELTON truly is a gift from heaven. Not only is he super talented, he is also sweet and humble and polite and never complains about anything.

RUBEN STUDDARD was a pleasure to work with and I know he is going to surprise a lot of people with his really understated, subtle performance as Pastor Johnson.

TRACE ADKINS was a total hoot. He is not the kind of guy who walks on set and schmoozes. As a matter of fact he’s not a man of many words at all, but if you get a compliment from him, you know he means it. On the fifth day of working with him — it was his final day of the shoot — he turned to me out of the blue and said: “This is a really great story you wrote there kid.” I almost fell out of my chair. It was kind of a Silent Bob moment, if you know what I mean.

NICKI AYCOX is a phenomenal actress. I know she has an army of fans watching her new TV show DARK BLUE and she is incredible in it, but wait until you see her performance in LIFTED.

I could go on (and on!) about how much talent we had on this movie and how great everybody was, but I really want you to see it for yourselves, so I will stop blogging and start editing.

(This might have been the only time I ever felt small)

Of course I will keep you updated on the exciting process of bringing LIFTED to the screen on Twitter @ Lexialex.

Peace out,
Lexi
